Rotary Club 2023 Scholarship
Offered for students at the following schools:
Battlefield, Patriot, Gainesville, Wakefield
The Gainesville-Haymarket Rotary Club awards scholarships that recognizes an outstanding student leader graduating from High School this year. Rotary is a global network of more than 1.2 million members who believe in Service Above Self. We are community and business leaders representing different professions, experiences, and perspectives but with a shared desire to connect with others to address the challenges affecting our community and communities around the world.
Award Criteria
The committee charged with the responsibility of selecting the Gainesville Haymarket Rotary Club Scholarship recipient will consider a variety of criteria when considering applicant qualifications. The criteria will include but are not limited to the following:
- High school leadership positions held within the last four years.
- Accomplishments attained while holding the leadership positions.
- Community service outside of high school during the past four years.
- Awards earned during the past four years.
- Scholastic achievement.
- College and career goals.
- Quality of Application (Organization, Completeness, Grammar, etc.)
The amount of the scholarship award is $1,000.00 and will paid directly to the Admission Office after enrollment.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a graduating senior.
- Complete an application form.
- Be available for an interview should the committee decide that an interview is necessary.
- Be planning to enroll full-time in a college or university in the fall semester/quarter of 2023.
